Mark Riva

HUMAN 3.0 is created and published by Mark Riva, multifaceted thinker, writer, researcher, speaker, producer, and program developer who brings a dynamic, transdisciplinary background and perspective to HUMAN 3.0's focus on life in the technological age.

Over the course of Riva's diverse career, he has worked with legendary psychologist and author, Dr. Philip Zimbardo, Professor Emeritus at Stanford University, and Founder and President of the Heroic Imagination Project. 

Riva cofounded Flow Network with renowned best-selling psychologist, author, creativity expert, and pioneer of the flow theory of optimal experience, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi.

Riva was involved in the formation of the Integral Institute with globally-recognized philosopher and author, Ken Wilbur. 

Riva co-founded Project Culturescape with D. Paul Schafer, Canadian cultural policy expert and author of numerous books on culture.

Riva has also worked with Dr. Kirk J. Schneider, leading spokesperson for existential-humanistic psychology and a pioneering expert on the experience of awe.

Riva has given talks and made presentations for events and institutions including Medicine Meets Virtual Reality, World Future Society, University of Advancing Computing Technology, Nortel Palms Springs Film Festival, and New York Music & Internet Expo.

Riva has supplied integrated live event, lifestyle entertainment, and multimedia communications, marketing, and promotion services for companies like PepsiCo, Sony, Intel, Microsoft, AT&T, Nintendo, Suzuki, Ritz Carlton, Guggenheim Museum, Levis, Calvin Klein, Virgin, Rolling Stone, Cirque du Soleil, Quicksilver, Details, Island Records, Guess, Nordstrom, Paul Mitchell, Planet Hollywood, and Guinness.

Riva's has written numerous articles, interviews and reviews for various magazines and websites, as well as for his own self-published zines and publications, Metagrooves Metazine and Auricle Electrozine.

Riva's most recent project was Imagine Magazine, a critically-acclaimed initiative bringing together 300 of the world's most creative people to speak on the power and importance of the human imagination.
