Keep The Future Human Creative Contest with $100,000+ in cash prizes from the Future of Life Institute for creative digital media that engages with the key ideas of the Keep The Future Human essay by Anthony Aguirre, and helps them to reach a wider range of people, and motivates action in the real world.
ControlAI, a non-profit working to reduce the risks to humanity from artificial intelligence has launched a new campaign creating a central hub where concerned citizens, civil society organizations, and public figures can learn about the extinction risk posed by AI and join the call to prohibit the development of artificial superintelligence.
How and why could superintelligence wipe us out? Check out their recent article on this topic here.
Need a little more convincing? If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies by Eliezer Yudkowsky and Nate Soares of The Machine Intelligence Research Institute is a newly released book which delivers a stark and urgent warning: humanity is racing toward the creation of superintelligent AI without the safeguards to survive it.

Living in the Future's Past
Last night, I had the pleasure of taking in Living in the Future's Past, a Jeff Bridges narrated documentary that is a beautifully photographed tour de force of original thinking.
Bridges shares the screen with scientists, profound thinkers including Leonard Mlodinow, author of Elastic: Flexible Thinking in a Time of Change, Bruce Hood, author of The Self Illusion: How the Social Brain Creates Identity, and Timothy Morton, author of books like , plus a dazzling array of Earth’s living creatures, to reveal eye-opening concepts about ourselves and our past, providing fresh insights into our subconscious motivations and their unintended consequences.
Energy is the currency of life and this important film reveals the keys we need to move into the future wisely. This sparked a fresh stream of new insights and ideas that I plan to share here with you soon!

A Stellar World
Stellar: A world beyond limits, and how to get there is a thrilling new book by James Arbib and Tony Seba of RethinkX, an organization producing research on global technology disruptions to accurately predict system change, and guide humanity towards choices that will catalyze the age of superabundance.
A bold re-examination of the past, present, and future of humanity, Stellar challenges conventional thinking and offers a vision of hope and optimism - a necessary antidote to the fear and despair that define our times.
Stellar uncovers the root causes of today’s biggest challenges, from war and economic instability to inequality and environmental collapse. It reveals why solutions to these issues are little more than band-aids, why our political and economic structures are failing, and how to unlock humanity’s full potential.
Stellar reimagines what’s possible - a world that gives rather than takes from both people and planet. A Stellar World where today’s pressing issues simply dissolve, where humanity can thrive, free from fear, scarcity, and despair.
Stellar has sparked a lot of deep thought, ideas, and writing, and I'm excited about what it offers and represents for the future of humankind: the real possibility of a brilliant lifeworld we all should be aspiring to manifest into reality.
This inspiring book will transform how we see the world, and our place in it, and you will be hearing a lot more about it here in the coming weeks and months.
